El tiempo vuela y ya llevo aquí una semana y un día. Se ha hecho corto la verdad. y ha sucedido algo genial!!!! Ha llegado el veranito!!!! Hace un calor y un solazo que da gusto. Me tiraría todo el día tirada en el cesped. Pero bueno, algo hay que trabajar. En las fotos podeis ver a Tersia, la secretaria de mi departamento, que es casi como mi ángel de la guarda. Que la tarjeta d ela universidad no funciona y no puedo fotocopiar, llamo a Tersia; que me he comprado unos pantalones y necesito acortarlos, Tersia me dice donde ir... Es genial!! Como mi madre Sudafricana (si, mamá, ya sabes que yo voy dejando madres por donde voy).
Durnate las comidas, como hace tan maravilloso, nos vamos a comer al jardín de la universidad. Los de la foto son Dirk (alemán, izda), Riaan (centro) y Franko (dcha) (Sudafricanos). Con ellos y más gente me fui a ver el torneo de Rugby el fin de semana.
Podéis ver algunos de los edificios de la Universidad, superblanquitos y bien cuidados. La verdad es que los edificios de la Uni hacen un bonito conjunto. Y las palmeras y los árboles con flores le dan un toque muy exótico a la ciudad.
Time goes by so quickly and I´ve been already in South Africa for a week and a day. I´s been short, I must admit. And something wonderfull has happened!!! Summer arrived!!!! It´s so warm and sunny... I´d spend the whole day laying down in the grass. But, well, I have to work something. In the picture you can see Tersia, the secretary of my department, who is really like my guarding angel. If the University card doesn´t work and I cannot copy, she fixes it; if I buy new pants and they need to be shorten, there she is to tell me where to go It´s cool!! She´s like my south african mother.
During lunch time we enjoy the nice weather at the gardens of the Uni. The ones in the picture are Dirk (German, left), Riaan (centre) and Franko (right)(South africans). With them ans some other people I went to watch the Rugby competition last weekend.
You can also see some of the buildings of the University, so white and clean. They create a very nice complex, improved by the palm trees and other trees with flowers, which give an exotic touch.
