Ayer fui con Theo, mi supervisor, Clemens (un estudiante alemán del departamtento), Jan y Oscar a cenar al Restaurante Roots, situado en Kayamandi (el Township que hay en Stellenbosch y que albergua una población de 33.000 habitantes). La cena estuvo deliciosa y fue muy interesante porque estaba compuesta con especialidades tradicionales Sudafricanas. Pollo de corral, oveja, harina de maíz, alubias, zanahorias... como dicen aquí: Lekker!!
Después se nos unieron Eva (estadounidense enamorada de Sudáfrica) y Songo (hombre de Kayamandi al que conocí a través de mi amiga finesa Anna y que trabaja en un centro de desarrollo de la zona).
Yesterday night I went with Theo, Clemens (a german student from the department), Jan and Oscar to the Restaurant Roots, in Kayamandi (the Township of Stellenbosch that host 33.000 inhabitants). The dinner was very tasty and very interesting to eat, because it was based on traditional South African dishes. Lots of free range chicken, sheep, corn flour, beans, carrots... as they say here: Lekker!!!
Afterwards Eva (Northamerican in love with South Africa) and Songo (guy from Kayamandi who I knew through my finnish friend Anna and who is working in one of the development centers of the area) joined us.
